Which membership option is right for my business?
Our membership packages are designed to offer different levels of support to small and medium-sized businesses, depending on your needs. Some businesses may just want to stay up to date with business news, while others need help starting up or more in-depth legal and HR advice.
For example, Advanced - our top level membership - gives you complete business support to help you in every function of your business. Whilst free Introductory membership will only give you a very basic level of support through a weekly newsletter.
What business issues can you help me with?
Our experienced business advisers are able to help members with any business issues relating to finance, HR, legal, health and safety, purchasing, business development and management. Whatever questions you've got, we're here to help.
Who can join?
We are currently only able to help businesses in the United Kingdom. To join you must be the owner of a privately-owned small or medium-sized business or start-up with a registered business address in the UK.
How long does membership last for?
Intermediate and Advanced memberships are sold on an annual subscription basis lasting 12 months.
Can I upgrade my membership?
If you choose a membership package now but find that you need more support part way through your annual subscription, you can upgrade your membership at any time by calling us on 0845 130 1722.
Rather than start a whole new membership, you'll only have to pay the difference for the rest of your annual subscription. The next time your membership renews it will be at the higher level unless you instruct us otherwise.
Membership isn't suitable for my business, but I support your lobbying. What can I do to help?

How can I pay for membership?
You can choose to pay for your membership by annual Direct Debit, debit/credit card, Bacs payment or cheque. You can either pay online via the application form or call us on 0845 130 1722 to discuss membership and payment options with an adviser.
Will you renew my membership automatically?
If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, we will renew your membership automatically on each 12-month anniversary and will take payment at this time.
If you pay by debit/credit card, Bacs or cheque, your membership will be renewed every 12 months, but we’ll get in touch with you to arrange payment so you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your membership.
Refunds and cancellations
Can I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your membership and receive a refund, you need to inform us in writing within 30 days of signing up (or of receiving your renewal notification, for existing members).
You cannot cancel or downgrade your membership part way through an annual subscription after these 30 days, but you can notify us of your intention to cancel or renew at a lower level of membership on your next renewal date. For more information, see our terms and conditions.
Do you provide a guarantee?
Yes, we offer paying members a money-back guarantee, under the terms of which, if we haven't saved you at least the equivalent value of your membership subscription when the time comes to renew it, we’ll give you a full refund. Find out more at www.fpb.org/guarantee.
