The Forum of Private Business (FPB) has appointed Jeremy Harris, a partner of DLA Piper, as its new legal adviser on pensions. DLA Piper is one of the biggest law firms in the UK and internationally, and this year has been selected as Law Firm of the Year in the Global Pensions Awards.

Executive Chairman of the FPB Len Collinson said:

"I am pleased that Jeremy has agreed to assist the FPB in this way. I have personal experience of his and DLA Piper's excellence in occupational pensions. This will be of huge advantage to our members."

The FPB represents around 25,000 small and medium-sized firms in the UK and provides support on all aspects of running a smaller company. The business support organisation operates a helpline for members, who will now be able to draw upon Mr Harris' extensive experience and expertise. He said he looked forward to adding his services to those already available:

"The FPB performs a vital role for private businesses and I am delighted to be able to contribute to its work."

Mr Harris advises on all legal aspects of pensions, particularly final salary schemes, scheme mergers and the pensions aspects of corporate transactions. Members of the FPB can call the helpline on 0845 130 1722 to find out more.
