The FPB, in association with Mace & Jones Solicitors, would like to invite you and a colleague to join us for a breakfast workshop to hear about how to manage redundancies.

Employers prefer not to contemplate redundancies, but if they fail to plan they are in danger of walking into a minefield of costly and time-consuming problems. Each redundancy exercise, however small, requires considerable preparation and a good understanding of the legal implications.

This workshop will look at how to identify a redundancy situation, the process employers should follow when faced with this, and the legal matters they must be aware of.

Members will have the opportunity to discuss and explore particular issues of interest to them

The speakers from Mace & Jones Solicitors will be:
  • Sue Ensall - an employment solicitor
Sue advises employers on all areas of employment law and how to apply it in a practical and pragmatic way. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Sue worked for a number of years as an HR Manager in the manufacturing and finance sectors.

  • Chris Ellis - a senior HR adviser
Chris brings a blend of operational and strategic people management experience, coupled with a pragmatic, commercial and commonsense approach to dealing with employment issues. Chris has spent most of his career working in HR in a range of industries across different business sectors at director level.

This workshop is FREE to members of the FPB. It will be informal and refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to attend, fill in the short form below or call the FPB on 0845 130 1722. Alternatively, email your name, business and telephone number to philip.moody@fpb.org.

Places are limited, so reserve yours now to avoid disappointment.
