You're probably already aware of our campaign calling on decision-makers to ‘Think Smallest First'. We want the Government to sign our pledge to consider the smallest businesses before any others when it comes to new or changing regulations because we believe that, if this pledge is honoured, the resulting regulations and taxes will not create unnecessary burdens on businesses of any size.
Our aim is to achieve a reduction in taxation and regulations for smaller firms, as well as to raise awareness of the issues relating to late payment
How can you help?
By signing the petition
If you have not already done so, please help to raise the profile of the issues facing small businesses by signing our petition. Ask your employees, colleagues, suppliers and business contacts to do the same.
By asking your MP to ‘Think Smallest First' We want to gain support for our ‘Think Smallest First' campaign from Members of Parliament. We have sent the pledge to senior Members of Parliament, including the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, asking them to sign it to show their support and intention to ‘Think Smallest First'.
We now need your help to spread the word!
Members of Parliament, Members of the European Parliament, Members of the Scottish Parliaments and Members of the Welsh Assembly Parliament have a duty to represent their constituents. As such, they will react more strongly if they receive a letter from you asking them to support our ‘Think Smallest First' campaign.
Please download the standard letter (link below) and the ‘Think Smallest First' pledge, and send these directly to your parliamentary representative.
