Coast to coast walk

Phil OrfordOur Chief Executive, Phil Orford, will be tackling the Hadrian's Wall coast to coast challenge during his summer break on behalf of our nominated charity, The Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG).

The walk starts on Tuesday, 18 August at Bowness-on-Solway in Cumbria and continues for 84 miles eastward along Hadrian's Wall, finally finishing at Wallsend in Tyne and Wear. It will take Phil a total of four days to complete the walk, covering 24 miles on the first day and then 18, 21 and 21 miles on the subsequent days.

It was a last minute decision for Phil to do the walk and, apart from playing the odd round of golf and racing around London to attend various business meetings, he has not exactly been in training!

You can follow Phil's progress and leave messages of support on Twitter @PhilOrford, where he will regularly tweet to keep followers up to speed.

To sponsor Phil on his walk you can make a donation at the CCLG website. The CCLG is responsible for the organisation of the treatment of children with cancer in the UK and also provides information and support to patients and families.

All transactions on the CCLG website are secure and processed by PayPal. To help us calculate how much money we raise from the coast to coast walk, please write FPB, plus any dedication you wish to make, before submitting your payment through PayPal.

Thank you for your support!
