Andrews Computers |
Increased company profile in their area Rachel Andrews, of Andrews Computers Ltd in Hemel Hempstead, regularly takes advantage of media opportunities through her membership of the Forum. Rachel recently appeared in the Sunday Times, alongside trade journals and small business-specific news outlets.
She has also provided valuable views and opinions for the Forum's press releases.
Rachel said: "I have been interviewed twice by the Sunday Times Enterprise Editor Rachel Bridge. The first time, was following the Chancellor's autumn statement in 2009 when he announced the increase in NICs for employers from April 2011.
"This article opened with my comments, and I was thoroughly impressed by the accuracy of what was printed. The press often have a reputation for twisting people's words, but Rachel quoted me accurately and succinctly.
"So when I was asked to talk to her a second time, and this time have my photograph in the paper I was extremely happy to provide her with a quote. This second article was again professionally written following the Budget in March 2009, and this time attracted some interest from both existing customers, and the Business Link advisor we saw last year.
"I am not sure if it has directly led to any new business, but it has certainly increased our company profile in the area. I have also personally gained respect from my peers for being an ‘important' businesswoman, whose opinions matter." |
