On 7th December 2013, the UK will be celebrating small businesses up and down the country through Small Business Saturday (SBS). The event, which began in the United States in 2010, is crossing the Atlantic this year to encourage consumers to shop local and shop small.
In 2012 the initiative generated an impressive $5.5 billion in sales for US independent businesses and led to an increase in long term sales for many. The Forum of Private Business has been working in partnership with the SBS UK campaign team and MPs from all parties to ensure the event supports our members across the country.
We'll keep you updated with our plans for Small Business Saturday over the coming months.
