National Apprenticeship Week 2017

The National Apprenticeship Week is taking place from Monday 6th to Friday 10th March 2017. It’ is in its 10th year with the aim of bringing together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade.

The National Apprenticeship Week is designed to celebrate the positive impact that apprenticeships have on individuals and on businesses and the wider economy,

Raising the profile of this important event helps to commuicate the benefits of apprenticeship schemes to employers in the hope that it will encourage more businesses to recruit apprentices. Now is a great time for businesses to grow their talent whilst developing a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce.

It also aims to encourage and support more young people and adults to seek out information and to consider apprenticeships as a positive way to get the skills they need for a great job which could ultimately fast track them to a great career.

Apprenticeships and Skills Minister Robert Halfon said:

“National Apprenticeship Week is about celebrating the best in apprenticeships and trainee-ships. The week highlights the vital role apprenticeships and trainee-ships play in giving people from all backgrounds a ladder of opportunity.”
