National Apprenticeship Week is back for 2018, starting on March 5th and will run until 9th March. This annual week is a great way for employers to showcase their apprentices both past and present, on how they have helped deliver and improve the productivity of their business.
The week also helps gain attention and encourage young people who are considering applying for an apprenticeship to find out more information and even sign up to one.
Most people believe apprenticeships are just for the manual labour industries, when in fact they over a range of different industries including fashion, finance, aerospace, marketing, broadcast media such as TV and radio along with many more.
Apprenticeships are growing starting with level 2 (Equivalent to GCSEs) to degree level with many apprentices staying with their employer once completing their apprenticeship or even going self-employed with the skills they have learnt.
