The Forum of Private Business is a not-for-profit membership organisation for small and medium-sized businesses that was formed in 1977 and has a rich history of supporting its members.
The Forum’s sales agents act as the key contact with members and are a vital part of our membership service, promoting our wide range of membership benefits and services.
Because our sales agents are self-employed, they enjoy the best of both worlds: the guaranteed opportunity to meet potential and existing members every day, with the flexibility that goes with running your own business. It’s a role for an true entrepreneur.
The role offers the opportunity to earn good commission while receiving sales training and support from the Forum. It is an excellent opportunity for those who have what it takes to be self-employed - while enjoying the training, on-going support and all the advantages of being part of the Forum of Private Business brand.
There’s no basic pay, but commission is uncapped and on-target earnings for our sales agents are in the region of £27,000 though many achieve far more – and our very best agents can achieve well in excess of that figure. It’s very much down to the efforts of the individual involved, their personality and perseverance, as well as our products and profile of the Forum.
There is also the added incentive of residual payments on renewals with no time limit on these, as well as additional commissions on other products and member services.
Skills, knowledge and qualifications
You’ll need to be a great communicator, comfortable communicating with all types of people in all sorts of circumstances. You will need to plan your time around the best time to speak to members and prospective members, appreciating that they have busy work lives as well. You will be well organised, a self-starter and keen to build your own business.
