Contract of employment

You have to provide the employee with a contract of employment - or written statement of terms - within two months of the start of employment. All employees must have complete, up-to-date contracts, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
 
There are substantial penalties for not having them and proof that employees have had them is important. This employment contract template includes sections on: sickness absence, disciplinary rules and procedures, grievance procedures, holidays, hours of work etc.
